MEASURE. PLAN. PREPARE.
Start with
what you know.
Use your own measurements and allowances. These calculators do not set New Lane Builders pricing, specify structural requirements, or confirm material orders.

Know your square footage.
For one rectangular area. Add a user-selected allowance for cuts or waste.
120 sq ft measured area + 10% allowance.
Formula: length × width. Allowance: area × (1 + percentage ÷ 100). Confirm product coverage and waste with your supplier.
Get a rough concrete volume.
For a rectangular slab. This is a quantity tool, not a structural design recommendation.
Includes 0% extra allowance.
Formula: length × width × (thickness ÷ 12) ÷ 27. Thickness, reinforcement, soil preparation, and ordering quantities require professional review.
Give the plan some breathing room.
Add a reserve to a base allowance you enter. No construction rates or pricing assumptions are used.
$25,000 base allowance + $3,750 reserve.
Formula: base × (1 + reserve percentage ÷ 100). The starting percentage is an editable example, not a recommended reserve or a quote.

Useful numbers.
Not the whole picture.
Site conditions, access, permits, product specifications, labor, and the final scope all affect a construction project. These tools help organize a conversation; only a reviewed, written proposal can establish the work and price.
Planning approach informed by Procore’s construction estimating guidance. New Lane Builders is not affiliated with Procore.
Good things start
with a conversation.
You bring the idea.
Let’s work out the way forward.
